What is Relationship Rewards?

Jasmine Shillington Updated by Jasmine Shillington

Relationship Rewards is a fee saving scheme for Australian Military Bank members. Essentially, the more you borrow and save with Australian Military Bank the fewer fees you will pay.

The total of your closing balance on the last day of the previous month of your combined accounts (loans, credit cards, investments and savings), is used to calculate a fee rebate that is credited to your account. This amount will either reduce or eliminate your everyday banking fees.

Eligible accounts

The following accounts are eligible for Relationship Rewards:

  • Access
  • 100% Mortgage Offset
  • Pension
  • Military Clubs
  • Online Saver
  • DIY Super Saver
  • Christmas Club

Eligible transaction types

Fees eligible to be rebated include:

  • EFTPOS
  • BPAY® (excluding staff-assisted),
  • Pay Anyone (excluding staff-assisted) and
  • Direct debit

How it's calculated

Your everyday banking fees for the month are totaled. Your combined balance* is then used to calculate your Relationship Reward rebate.

* Your combined monthly balances for calculating your free transactions allowance are the total closing balances on the last day of the previous month of all your transaction and savings accounts, term deposits, loans, overdrafts and credit card accounts. Unused limits on overdrafts and credit cards are not considered. Negative balances of deposit accounts are deducted from the total. Balances in joint accounts are considered towards the allowance for the primary account holder only. Any unused transaction allowance cannot be carried forward to offset fees in future months. The maximum rebate paid in any given month will not exceed the amount incurred in eligible fees. We may vary or withdraw this offer at any time.
