What ID is required to open an account?

Jasmine Shillington Updated by Jasmine Shillington

You will need to provide two forms of ID (or identity documents) to open an account with at least one being a photographic identity document.

If you are under 18 years of age, we require certified copies of two of the following forms of identity documents; birth certificate, Australian passport, or Medicare card.

In some exceptional cases^ such as vulnerable members, we may allow you to open an account without a photographic identity documentation or through alternative identity verification. In such circumstances, we will discuss with you what alternative identification requirements we will accept to establish your identity such as two or more of non-photographic identifying documents.

Please note: If originals identity documents are not produced, then certified copies are required.
