How do I set a secure PIN?

Jasmine Shillington Updated by Jasmine Shillington

When setting a PIN for your Visa Debit and/or Credit card, make sure you don't choose a number that’s easy for someone to guess. Avoid repeating characters (like 9999) or digits in sequence (like 1234) and characters based on your birth date, driver’s licence or phone numbers.

Choose something unique to you. Choose something easy for you to remember but hard for anyone else to guess.

After creating a memorable and secure PIN, it’s important to protect it. Don’t write your PIN down and don’t share your PIN with anyone. If you feel your PIN has been compromised, notify us immediately.
