What should I do if I'm being deployed overseas?

Jasmine Shillington Updated by Jasmine Shillington

We understand when being deployed overseas there's a lot to organise.

To ensure everything continues to work smoothly while away you should consider the following things:

  • Set up regular payments or consider Direct Debits for bills in Australia such as rent, electricity, insurance payments. We recommend setting up any potential payees in your address book within digital banking before you go.
  • Make sure you have enough funds in your account to cover future bills.
  • If you are accessing your accounts from overseas, you will still receive your one-time-passcodes (OTP) if you are using your Australian mobile phone number. Call us on 1300 13 23 28 if you need to temporarily disable using OTP via SMS.
  • Consider if you need to assign someone you trust as an authorised signatory or power of attorney on your account/s.
